I have two children, and both required extra help for specific learning differences. My son was diagnosed with dyspraxia, ADHD and slow processing at the age of 5. My daughter is dyslexic.
Raising children with special educational needs has given me a unique perspective as an educator. I understand the frustration and feelings of helplessness of both children and parents, but I have also seen first-hand what the right support can do for a child who is struggling. I have unlimited patience and a genuine belief that all children can overcome their differences.
I am creative in my teaching and look to the student's interests and strengths to address their weaknesses.
“Stacy is one of the most detail driven, empathetic professionals I have dealt with in over 25 years of parenting. Her thorough assessment and concrete proposals were quite literally life changing. Stacy put my teenage son totally at ease from the first moment of meeting him.
She accurately diagnosed the issues that were hampering his academic potential and executive functioning hand and in record time, a hugely detailed report had been drafted with practical solutions.
Stacy went the extra mile to ensure no stone was left unturned in terms of accurately working out what was going on and what might be done to help. Her warmth and energy shine through at every interaction. I could not recommend Stacy highly enough.”

I have completed the OCR Level 5 Certificate in Teaching Learners with Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties and the OCR Level 7 Diploma in Teaching and Assessing Learners with Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties.
I also have a Level 5 Certificate in Dyscalculia and Maths Learning Difficulties.
I hold current Assessment Practising Certificates (APC) in dyslexia from PATOSS and dyscalculia from the British Dyslexia Association.
In addition to my qualifications, I have completed CPD which allows me to identify characteristics of ADHD and dyspraxia for post-16. This is important to allow individuals to access support for their study or employment, and appropriate medical management, if required.
I hold an MA in Education, and a BA in Psychology and have experience in both the British and American systems as a teacher and administrator. I moved to London in 1999 from the United States.
